Dr. Vijayakumari is working as a Senior Consultant and Chief of Paediatric Ophthalmology & Occuloplasty services at Drishyam Eye Care Hospital. After her MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College (1990), she did her DO in Ophthalmology from B.J. Medical College Ahmadabad in 1994. She worked as Consultant Ophthalmologist in Malaysia for 7 years and underwent training in National University of Singapore, obtained FRCS (Edinburgh) and M.Med (NUS, Singapore) in 2000. She has vast experience in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery. She has performed more than 400 squint surgeries and several oculoplastic surgeries such as Ptosis correction and Entropion & Ectropion Corrections.

Dr. Reshmi Elizabeth is our Senior Consultant and Chief of Glaucoma services at Drishyam Eye Care Hospital. Before joining Drishyam, she worked as Consultant Ophthalmologist at Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Thrissur, for four (4) years. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Resident for two (2) years at Venu Eye Institute & Research Centre (New Delhi) which also included an in-house short term fellowship in Phacoemulsification. She did her MBBS and MS Ophthalmology from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry.

Dr. Venugopal completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, in 1989. After his house surgency from RIO, Thiruvananthapuram, in 1990, he joined J.N.Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, for his post graduation. In 1992 he joined Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly and underwent training by eminent Ophthalmologists. He started working as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Assumption Hospital, Kanjirapuzha, from 1994. Got trained in General Ophthalmology in 1995, from Sankara Eye Society (Nataraj Eye Hospital), Coimbatore. He started Shoba Eye Clinic in Mannarkad in 1996 and worked there till 2009. In May 2009 he joined iVision group of hospitals as Consultant Ophthalmologist and worked first at Koorkenchery, Thrissur Branch and later at Chalakudy from April 2013. Underwent short term training in Medical retina from Little flower Hospital, Angamaly and Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore. In June 2016, he joined Drishyam Eye Care Hospital, Thrissur, as Consultant Ophthalmologist.

Dr. Biju Raju is the Medical Retina Surgeon at Drishyam Eye Care Hospital. Before joining Drishyam he worked as a Director of Patient Care Services and Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Dr. NSD Raju’s Eye Hospital and Research Centre; Vitreoretinal Surgeon – Vasan Eye Care Hospital in association with Ranjini Eye Hospital; Affiliate Consultant – In charge of Retinopathy of Prematurity Clinic Co-operative Medical College, Kochi; Affiliate Vitreoretinal Consultant – Sai Darshan Eye and Ear Hospital, Director, Patient Services, Ranjini Eye Hospital, Consultant VR Surgeon at Ranjini Eye Hospital, Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Alphonsa Eye Hospital, Vitreoretinal Surgeon, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. He did his (MS, FNB) Fellow of NBE (Vitreoretinal Diseases), Fellow of LVPEI (Retinal Surgery). The first Board Certified vitreoretinal surgeon from India, Dr. Biju Raju is currently the only vitreoretinal surgeon performing the most recent bimanual vitrectomy techniques in the country. He is the first retinal surgeon to perform sutureless vitrectomy in Kerala. In May 2005, he became the first surgeon in the world to perform No injection, No stitch and No patch vitrectomy for retinal diseases. Dr. Biju Raju also became the first vitreoretinal surgeon from the country to receive the “Best of Show” award at the American Academy of Ophthalmology and received this award at the Academy’s annual meeting at Chicago on October 17, 2005.

Dr Angeetha is a consultant ophthalmologist at Chavakkad Drishyam eye care hospital. She completed her MBBS from Govt medical college Ernakulam followed by DNB Ophthalmology from Aravind eye hospital Coimbatore.

Dr. Rema Mukesh is working as a Senior Consultant and Phaco Surgeon at Drishyam Eye Care Hospital, Chavakkad.Dr.Rema did her graduation (MBBS) and post graduation (Diploma Ophthalmology) from Kasturba medical College Mangalore.She completed her training for phaco emulsification cataract surgery from MM Joshi Institute of Ophthalmology Hubli. Thereafter,she worked as provisional tutor in the department of ophthalmology at Government Medical College Thrissur.Before joining Drishyam,she worked as consultant at Malankara Medical Mission Hospital, Kunnamkulam, Arafa Hospital changaramkulam, and Malabar eye hospital Thrissur.

Dr. Meharunnissa is a consultant ophthalmologist at Chavakkad Drishyam Eye Care Hospital. She completed her MBBS at Karuna Medical College, Palakkad, and her MS at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Prior to joining Drishyam Eye Care, she worked at Rani Menon’s Eye Clinic, in Thrissur.

Mallan K.G.P is a consultant at Drishyam Eye Care Hospital, Thrissur. He completed his MBBS and D O at Stanley Medical College, Chennai. He then went for further studies to Nair Hospital, Mumbai, and completed D.O.M.S (Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery) and M.S. (Ophthalmology). He has worked at S.U.T. Hospital Trivandrum, Metropolitan Hospital Thrissur; Vasan Eyecare Thrissur, Rayhan Eye Hospital Triprayar and Malabar Eye Hospital Thrissur.
